Yes, Watch Netflix Together relies on everyone having their own Netflix login. Each person needs to be signed into their own Netflix account in Chrome.
Go to netflix.com, click on the Watch Netflix Together extension icon in your toolbar, and click 'Create Session'. You don't need to be on a video. You can start from the Netflix homepage and browse together.
When the current episode ends and the next one starts, or when the session leader switches to a different show, everyone in the session follows automatically. No need to cancel and restart.
No! You can create a session from the Netflix homepage. Browse the catalogue together and decide what to watch as a group.
When anyone in the session plays, pauses, or seeks to a different position, it synchronizes in real time for everyone. The session leader's playback state is the source of truth.
Yes, Watch Netflix Together is completely free to use. We offer optional Premium features like priority server access for subscribers.
When you subscribe to Premium, make sure you use the same email address you use to log into Watch Netflix Together. Your Premium benefits are tied to that email. Once subscribed, you'll automatically get priority server access, uninterrupted sessions, and early access to new features.
Watch Netflix Together is currently available as a Chrome extension. It works on any Chromium-based browser including Google Chrome, Brave, and Microsoft Edge.
There's no hard limit. Invite as many friends as you like. Performance may vary with very large groups.
Make sure everyone in the session has the latest version of the extension installed. Try refreshing the Netflix tab and rejoining the session. If the issue persists, contact us.
